Can we meet you?
Of course! I would love to meet you and learn more about how you envision your wedding day! After a deposit is made we can arrange a catch up closer to your wedding date. Alternatively, I am always happy to chat over the phone before you make your deposit to assure that I am the right fit for your day!
How do we secure a wedding date?
To secure your date, I ask for a 10% deposit to be made.
But what if we need to change our date?
Easy, all I ask is that you guys shoot me some dates that you are thinking about rescheduling to. If we can align a date, your deposit will carry over to your new date
What about travel fees?
I am based in Geelong, Victoria and a small travel fee will occur if your wedding is 75 minutes outside Geelong.
How does the 8 hour package work?
The eight hour package is completely customisable to suit your wedding. Although here is the most common guide.
I like to spend around 50-60 mins with the first bridal party and about 60-75 mins with the second bridal party. Although these durations may change due to the size of the bridal party etc. Ideally it’s nice if the two sides are getting ready somewhere close to each other. If there is anything specific you would like to be captured at these times, we can chat in the lead up.
I always try to arrive at your ceremony space 30 minutes prior to kick off. Most ceremonies tend to go for around 15-30 minutes and I always recommend receiving some love and congratulations from your guests on conclusion, with family photos to follow.
Then bridal photos usually take around 35 – 45 minutes, and I tend to save photos of just the two of you for sunset.
Here is a potential timeline:
- 1:00 – 1:50 With bridal party number one.
- 2:00 – 3:15 With bridal party number two.
- 3:30: Photographer to arrive at ceremony space
- 4:00 Ceremony
- 4:30 Ceremony concludes with love and congratulations from guests.
- 4:45 – 4:55 Family photos
- 5:00 – 5:30 Bridal party photos
- 8:00 – 8:15 Sunset photos
- 9:00 Package concludes
How does the 5 hour package work?
The five hour package is completely customisable to suit your wedding. Although here is the most common guide.
I recommend the 5 hour package to commence 30 minutes prior to your ceremony time. That way I can capture some shots of your set up before guests arrive. A usual ceremony goes for 15-30 minutes and after you guys have sealed the deal with a kiss, made your way back down the aisle to receive some love and hugs from yours guests.
I suggest family photos to follow. A usual timeline for bridal party photos are around 35- 45minutes. Although this can be adjusted to suit your likings/wedding timeline/location/amount of people involved in bridal party.
If weather/time allows, sunset photos are a great option. Depending on ceremony time, the five hour package will more than likely allow myself to capture most if not all the main formalities.
Here is a potential timeline:
- 3:30 Photographer to arrive at ceremony space
- 4:00 Ceremony
- 4:30 Ceremony concludes with love and congratulations from guests.
- 4:45 – 4:55 Family photos
- 5:00 – 5:30 Bridal party photos
- 8:00 – 8:15 Sunset photos
- 8:30 Package concludes
Can we add additional hours to our package?
For sure! Additional coverage can be added to either package at a rate of $700 per extra hour.
Do you travel interstate/overseas for weddings?
I most definitely do. Infact, my first wedding I ever had the pleasure of shooting was in Lombok, Indonesia. I love photographing in unique locations! Travel costs vary depending on when and where.
We are an awkward couple and hate the camera!
Don’t worry, so do I! That is why you will always find me on the other side of the camera. I always do my best to blend into the background on a wedding day and capture you and your guests in the most natural way. I will offer some guidance when needed, although I much prefer to let the day unfold the way it should, naturally.
Do you offer video as well?
Nope, but here is a few that I recommend you checkout:
@thesewildeyesvideo
@jacobhjestonweddings
@mrjohnkurt
@torresweddingfilms
Do we receive edited images?
All the images I deliver are edited and colour graded. You will receive a mixture of colour and black and white with no watermarks.

WEDDING TIPS TO HELP YOUR DAY RUN SMOOTHLY
- Firstly, my biggest tip is If you haven’t already booked accommodation for getting ready on your wedding day, I highly recommend prioritising the aesthetic of this place because the more beautiful the backdrop, the more readily we can utilise this location for pre-ceremony photos. The more gorgeous photos we can capture of yourself, close family, and bridal party before the wedding begins, the less pressure everyone feels after the ceremony to rush off to do so, leaving you with more time for photos with your partner and, crucially, more time you can enjoy with your guests.
- Groomsmen: I really don’t think you need to be photographed getting dressed. I suggest having a shirt, pants, and shoes on before I arrive. That way I can document you giving each other a hand with final touches (bowtie/ties/flower boutonnieres).
- Bridesmaids: best to have hair and makeup completed prior to my arrival. I assure you, you don’t need snaps with half your makeup complete or with a single eyelash.
- I always make sure those who are getting married get an individual shot with each of their respective bridal party members, whether that happens pre or post-ceremony.
- Chat to your celebrant about where they will position themselves. I often find a celebrant who stands off to the side for the majority of the ceremony works best for your photography. It allows the couples to remain close and intimate during a very special part of the day.
- I love trying to capture the first kiss with a close/tight portrait image, plus a wide photo. With this in mind, if you’re able/happy to hold your first kiss for a smidge longer, that would be terrific!
- Planning on doing a confetti / petal toss at the end of your ceremony? Epic. It’s such a beautiful photo! Tip number one: have your celebrant mention for guests to hold off on hugs and gift giving until you both have made your way down the aisle. Number two: do your best not to run at me! Simply cruise on down that aisle and enjoy it. Smile at one another and your guests. Most importantly, confetti/petals do not hurt. So no need to shy away as they fall!
- Always make time post-ceremony for love and congratulations from your family and guests. Even if it’s just for 5-10 minutes. It’s an organic part of the day where you will both forget that I am there photographing. It’s also just really a nice moment where the nerves have settled and you can celebrate with your guests.
- Consider your family photo list. A long and complicated family photo run heet can be incredibly painful for the couple. My suggestion is to get the most important group combinations and individual photos with the couple’s parents. I also suggest making time throughout the day to grab selected group photos with other family members/groups of friends.
- A group photo of all your wedding guests can be cool but wrangling this oftens takes up a lot of time for a sub par result. Again, I suggest making time throughout the day to grab some guests instead.
- Want to pop and spray some champagne? No need to shake the bottle prior to opening. It is as simple as uncorking the bottle first, placing a thumb over the top, and then continuously shaking! I’ll guide you through it. Pro tip: do not shake the bottle towards anyone apart from myself. If I get wet, that’s sweet. If you and your significant other get covered in champagne, that is not sweet. There are usually many hours to go thereafter…
- Thinking of hiring a videographer to capture your day as well? I always love the idea of working with some of my friends in the industry, people who are both super talented and with whom I am always effortlessly in sync on the day. Here are a few I recommend checking out:
– @thesewildeyesvideo
– @jacobhestonweddings
– @mrjohnkurt
– @torresweddingfilms - Late night flash photography is an epic way to conclude the day with me. It offers some fun paparazzi-style photos. Completely optional, but also completely cool.
- Finally, relax – enjoy the day. Every moment of it. You would have heard it before: your wedding day goes quick. It’s so true, it just zips by. Your wedding day is not designed to be a photo shoot. It’s intended to be a celebration of commitment and love. Prioritise lapping up just that.
